Drug Courts in Maryland: An Assessment of Drug Court Enhancements and Recent Trends in Eleven Adult Drug Courts
Researcher(s): (Douglas Young) (Amy Ho) (Elizabeth M Grant)
(2015)
IGSR, in collaboration with the Maryland Office of Problem-Solving Courts and funding from the federal Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), conducted a study of eleven adult drug courts. In addition to a detailed descriptive assessment of enhancement plans and progress in implementation, program data from the Statewide Maryland Automated Record Tracking (SMART) system were gathered and analyzed to further assess drug court performance and outcomes at each site during the demonstration period. This narrative assessment compares and contrasts recent data and trends using a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods.
