About Research Services

A grant is an award of financial assistance used to carry out a government-authorized purpose. IGSR has a long history of partnering with various organizations to pursue and work on grants, for Federal and for state and local government. Some of the grants undertaken by IGSR have grown into programs with wide-ranging positive effects on the state of Maryland and its residents.

IGSR has worked with state agencies including those in both the executive branch and those that are created independently by state or Federal law.

IGSR offers fiscal management services to state agencies and local jurisdictions. Through its use of tools and years of experience, IGSR is a go-to source to help agencies and jurisdictions improve the efficient use of their allocated budgets. A well-designed fiscal management plan can be the difference between providing effective or ineffective services to the public.

Local government can be unique and based upon local customs and history. But that is no excuse for local governments not running in an effective and efficient manner for Maryland citizens. IGSR has experience in measuring and improving what happens at the local level.

IGSR partners with nonprofit organizations (NPOs) throughout the state to better the lives of Marylanders. A nonprofit organization (NPO) is a non-business entity and IGSR partners with NPOs which have projects specifically geared to improving the well-being of individuals and communities in the state.
