Andy Sharma is an assistant research professor at the Institute. He is a quantitative methodologist with research interests in aging, health disparities, later-life migration, and spatial statistics. Prior to joining the Institute, Dr. Sharma was a faculty member at Denver where he taught courses in public policy analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and economics and policy. In addition to teaching, he has authored numerous articles in Applied Geography, Aging and Society, Disability and Rehabilitation, Journal of Aging and Health, and Women's Health Issues, presented at various conferences, and received awards in the demography and health fields. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy with a minor in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, M.S. in Mathematics from Loyola University in Chicago, and M.A. in Economics from DePaul University in Chicago.
