Serving as IGSR's pre-award specialist, Dr. K. Paul Rezai-Zadeh is responsible for developing and facilitating the production of proposals for funding by federal, state, local, and philanthropic entities. He has more than ten years of experience in academic research environments and a track record of securing sponsored awards. For the Pennington Biomedical Research Center (PBRC) in Baton Rouge, he was Principal Investigator on an NIH grant analyzing neural circuits that regulate metabolism in support of coordinated efforts to advance diabetes and obesity therapies. Prior to PBRC, K was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where he designed and implemented an array of projects focused on advancing "bench-to-bedside" neurodegenerative disease research. K holds both a Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences and a B.S. in Biology from the University of South Florida.
